Congratulations!! You took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. Then you scheduled a consult and tour at our birth center. And while you visited us, we put together an estimate for your insurance coverage. Most people really don't understand how their insurance plans actually work. I mean, they understand that they have insurance but they often don't understand why they have to pay anything out of pocket or a how we come up with the estimate, so we thought we would help break this down for you.  But first: there are different ways people obtain insurance plans. Some employers include insurance plans are a benefit to working with their company. Employers will contract with different insurance companies and each employer might offer different plans to different employees, so just because you have Cigna, as an example, it doesn't mean all Cigna plans are the same. The 2013 Heart 2 Heart Baby Reunion!

A great time was had by all at the Central Florida Zoo! Thank you to every one who came out to support the midwives at H2H and our team. We were thanking John Hartwell of Morningstar Radiology for his 30+ years of service to our patients and to our community doing sonos. John has recently retired and isn't well right now so he couldn't make it to the party. Dr. Cannizzaro, a dear pediatrician friend of ours came out and read the Proclamation for International Midwives Week. We did a potluck and the food was incredible. The games with the kids were hilarious...including the fun everyone had with the pinata. We look forward to next years event of saying 
THANK YOU to all of you! And Happy Mother's Day!

Melinda: ““When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.” ‭‭John‬ ‭16:21‬ ‭‬‬ How true this scripture is. From the time we checked into H2H, it was pure agony. I wanted to give up so many times, in fact I voiced that quite a few times. However, as soon as Blaine handed me our Thomas Edward, I didn’t remember the pain. All I cared about was my sweet Thomas was finally here & he was absolutely perfect. I couldn’t have done this without my amazing support system I had the entire step of the way.
