Insurance

Congratulations!! You took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. Then you scheduled a consult and tour at our birth center. And while you visited us, we put together an estimate for your insurance coverage. Most people really don't understand how their insurance plans actually work. I mean, they understand that they have insurance but they often don't understand why they have to pay anything out of pocket or a how we come up with the estimate, so we thought we would help break this down for you.  But first: there are different ways people obtain insurance plans. Some employers include insurance plans are a benefit to working with their company. Colds & Flu

Hello everyone! As we enter in to fever, cold and flu season, I want to remind you that if you find yourself coming down with symptoms to decrease dairy (it congests your system and increases mucous), increase your hot clear fluids (Toojays chicken noodle soup is excellent), use a probiotic, decrease your chemical or processed foods and eat fresh fruits and veggies to support your system and try thieves oil, it works great to help your body heal as well. Oh, and get extra rest. If you have a sore throat, get to a clinic and get checked for strep... It's going around currently, and you might need an antibiotic. Last but NOT least, reschedule your prenatal visit if you or your children are sick or contagious. The other pregnant women and brand new born babies are more susceptible to catching sick germs and it can be dangerous for them to get sick, and you also need to protect your midwives' health so they can work with labor ing moms and little squishies without infecting them!
