Congratulations!! You took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. Then you scheduled a consult and tour at our birth center. And while you visited us, we put together an estimate for your insurance coverage. Most people really don't understand how their insurance plans actually work. I mean, they understand that they have insurance but they often don't understand why they have to pay anything out of pocket or a how we come up with the estimate, so we thought we would help break this down for you.  But first: there are different ways people obtain insurance plans. Some employers include insurance plans are a benefit to working with their company. Vaccination Decision DVD

For those interested in obtaining more information regarding vaccination risks, there is a new DVD available from Dr. Mary Tocco . Please note that we at H2H do not get involved in this decision. I believe strongly that vaccinations have irradicated many deadly diseases and if we did not immunize our young we would experience epidemics....read your world history about the American Indian culture. But I do believe that all sides should be represented and I also believe in the rights of American people to decide freely so therefore we want you to know where you can obtain good information. The vaccination decision is one to be made with your pediatrician, as your pediatrician is providing care for your baby for the next several years. My favorite pediatricians!

Okay, You all know that I think the world of Dr. Rodriquez at Sunshine Pediatrics, he's my buddy. I can call him if I have a question or a problem and he is pretty natural minded. I feel the same way about Dr. Cannizaro (Dr. "C"). Dr. C gives out his cell number to his patients so they can get a hold of him after hours if he is needed. But I just want you to see what my ideal "community" physicians look like: Coquelet & Punger Family Medicine . Take a look at  Dr. Punger's blog and buy her book...support these people!! This is an incredible team of married doctors (yes, to each other!). Too bad we don't have them in our community, they are located in Ft. Pierce. Read their website, read their stories, and see what real doctors are supposed to be about. You will feel the passion for their patients.
