Insurance

Congratulations!! You took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. Then you scheduled a consult and tour at our birth center. And while you visited us, we put together an estimate for your insurance coverage. Most people really don't understand how their insurance plans actually work. I mean, they understand that they have insurance but they often don't understand why they have to pay anything out of pocket or a how we come up with the estimate, so we thought we would help break this down for you.  But first: there are different ways people obtain insurance plans. Some employers include insurance plans are a benefit to working with their company. Employers will contract with different insurance companies and each employer might offer different plans to different employees, so just because you have Cigna, as an example, it doesn't mean all Cigna plans are the same. Also, some people purchase their own insurance plans directly from insurance companies or from the Marketpla

We are expecting!

For those of you who don't know it yet, we are expecting as well!

Okay, so it is not a baby, but it is taking 9 months!!

We are having our dream birth center built. Now before any of you panic, it is going to have all of the charm and beauty of this building, it will just be a bit more practical: all on one floor (no steps to climb in labor!), three birth rooms, two exam rooms, and a better waiting room for extended family when they come for the birth or after!

We will still be right here in Sanford, but will actually be right across the street from labor and delivery (The Baby Suites) at Central Florida Regional Hospital on Lexington Drive. Although the building will be new, it will have all of our antiques in it, so we know it is going to be simply wonderful.

We love this beautiful old building and appreciate having gotten our start here, but we have definitely outgrown this beautiful old place so we can offer some more stuff to ya'll. We will also be opeing a Wellness Center next door and already have enlisted the services of an Acupuncture Physician , and a PregnancyYoga/fitness instructor, and are seeking a pregnancy Massage Therapist and perhaps a chiropractor for this other space.

The plans have been approved by the City of Sanford, so the concrete should be poured next week, and if all goes well, we are looking at mid-October for a moving date. Let your big strong hubbies know that we will be needing some help moving our stuff, if any of them will volunteer it sure will make things go easier.

Keep watching out for progress reports!

How exciting! I just followed a link from my daughter's blog that caught my interest, "Permission to Mother", and was surprised to see that you were right here local in Sanford, Fl.

I would love to stop by and see your facility if that is possible.

Please let me know.

Maxine
