Congratulations!! You took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. Then you scheduled a consult and tour at our birth center. And while you visited us, we put together an estimate for your insurance coverage. Most people really don't understand how their insurance plans actually work. I mean, they understand that they have insurance but they often don't understand why they have to pay anything out of pocket or a how we come up with the estimate, so we thought we would help break this down for you.  But first: there are different ways people obtain insurance plans. Some employers include insurance plans are a benefit to working with their company. Employers will contract with different insurance companies and each employer might offer different plans to different employees, so just because you have Cigna, as an example, it doesn't mean all Cigna plans are the same. Please join us in welcoming the babies born at Heart 2 Heart in October. Congratulations to all of our new parents !

October 18, 2007: Baby girl Makayla Rae, born to Christin and Doug. Makayla weighed 8 pounds 10 ounces and is Christin and Doug's first baby. Christin was so wonderful and sweet in labor, and so excited to see her baby's beautiful face.

October 16, 2007: Baby boy Jesse Biagio was born to Carrie and John and weighed in at 9 pounds 1 ounce. This is Carrie and John's 7th beautiful child and they are just incredible parents!

October 15, 2007: We had two births today! It was a busy day but each lady had lovely births and there were no interuptions on our time with either lady.

  • Baby girl Robyn Dale was born at 22:17 to Amanda and David. Amanda had taken the Hypnobirth Class, and I strongly believe her labor was so fast and "easy" because of her ability to relax so well. Amanda's baby was born in the posterior position (face up instead of down, and this is a much harder delivery on a woman) and she weighed 8 lbs. 8 oz.
  • Baby girl Keira Rose at 7:30 pm and weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz. Keira was born to Shawnessey and Dale and is welcomed by two lovely bigger sisters who were very excited to meet their new sister face to face.
On October 11, 2007 Jennifer and Stephen gave birth to their second child Xianya Sephira. Xianya weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces at birth and has such little rosebud lips!! Jennifer also did a hypnobirth type class at home with cd's and was able to relax incredibly throughout her labor.

Melinda: ““When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.” ‭‭John‬ ‭16:21‬ ‭‬‬ How true this scripture is. From the time we checked into H2H, it was pure agony. I wanted to give up so many times, in fact I voiced that quite a few times. However, as soon as Blaine handed me our Thomas Edward, I didn’t remember the pain. All I cared about was my sweet Thomas was finally here & he was absolutely perfect. I couldn’t have done this without my amazing support system I had the entire step of the way.
